New membership = new and exciting perks

The following introductory offers are available to new members who meet the following prerequisites:

• Must open an Unlimited Chequing account (Personal Unlimited, 65+, Student and Youth (18+) accounts qualify) during the offer period.
• Must be a new personal membership (New is defined as not having a membership with Affinity within the preceding 18 months).
• Must subscribe to a $5.00 membership share with Affinity Credit Union.
• The offer period will be September 3, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
• Must not be receiving benefits or have agreed to receive benefits under any other offer. This offer is subject to change, and the offer is valid between September 3, 2024 and December 31, 2024.

The “2024 New Member Cash Bonus Offer” contains the following benefits for new members. These offers can be taken advantage of separately or as a complete package.

1. $400 Cash Bonus To qualify for the $400 cash bonus, you must:
• Open a new Unlimited Chequing account (Personal Unlimited, 65+, Student and Youth (18+) accounts qualify) during the offer period.
• Set up one (1) recurring direct deposit and have the deposit verified through the Unlimited Chequing account within 90 days of opening the account. The direct deposit must occur either weekly, biweekly, monthly or twice per month and remain in effect for a minimum of six (6) consecutive months. Examples of qualifying recurring direct deposit may include, but not limited to, any of the following:
• Payroll
• Pension
• Set up one (1) recurring pre-authorized debit and have the debit verified through the Unlimited Chequing account within 90 days of opening the account. The pre-authorized debit must occur either weekly, biweekly, monthly or twice per month and remain in effect for a minimum of six (6) consecutive months. Examples of qualifying recurring pre-authorized debit may include, but not limited to, any of the following:
• Insurance payments
• Membership fees
• Utility payment
• Affinity loan payments
• The $400 will be deposited to the Unlimited Chequing account the month after all required conditions have been met, provided the account is in good standing.
• The account must be opened at an Affinity Credit Union advice centre. Accounts opened online do not qualify for the cash bonus offer.
• Affinity Credit Union reserves the right to deem what qualifies for a recurring direct deposit and a recurring pre-authorized debit.
2. Twelve (12) months package fee waiver commencing the month the account is opened.
• Applicable for any Unlimited Chequing account, for a maximum savings of $156.00
• Accountholder must set up at one (1) recurring direct deposit and have the deposit verified through the Unlimited Chequing account within 90 days of opening the account. Affinity Credit Union reserves the right to deem what qualifies for a recurring direct deposit.

• Cannot be combined with any other promotional rate offer.
• Investments must be made into a fixed non-redeemable term product only. Maximizer, Investors Savings and Everyday Savings accounts do not apply.
• Investments are non-redeemable and must be held until maturity.
• Applies to both registered and non-registered products.
• Deposit must be made in the first year of membership (within 365 days from the purchase of the member share).
4. Receive minimum 10,000 and up to 150,000 welcome offer points when you are approved for any Affinity Mastercard® with Affinity Rewards
• Eligible cards include:
• Affinity Mastercard® (10,000 welcome offer points - $10 value)
• Affinity World Mastercard® (50,000 welcome offer points - $50 value)
• Affinity World Elite® Mastercard® (150,000 welcome offer points - $150 value)
• This offer applies to selected new approved and funded consumer credit card accounts only. The welcome offer points applies to the following participating products: Affinity Mastercard, Affinity World Mastercard and Affinity World Elite Mastercard. Offer applies to newly approved card accounts only – card account must be activated and in good standing at the time the welcome offer points are awarded.
• 'New' credit card accounts are defined as cards that have been applied for between September 3, 2024, and December 31, 2024, and approved by Affinity Credit Union.
• Limit of one welcome offer points reward applied per membership.
• Welcome offer points will be awarded to the primary cardholder on the first monthly statement.
• Welcome offer points will be posted to eligible accounts within two statement cycles from the new account opening date. Account must be in good standing at the time the welcome offer points are applied.
5. No consumer loan or line of credit application fees.
• Where fees apply, application fees will be waived upon the approved application by the new member of a consumer loan or consumer line of credit.
• Loans must be intended for personal usage only.
• Application must be made in the first year of membership (within 365 days from the purchase of the member share).
• All other applicable loan fees apply (ex. $2 monthly Line of Credit fee).
6. Access to Affinity Member Perks
• Sign up for Affinity First in Line to be notified by text of advance ticket sales to concerts and events in Saskatoon and Regina.
• Check the Member Perks page to review exclusive discounts for Affinity members at select venues and events throughout the province.

The following terms and conditions apply to incentives (1 through 6):

a) Must be 18 years or older and live in Saskatchewan at the time of account opening.

b) Account must be maintained in good standing (no delinquent or unauthorized overdrawn status.)

c) Only one (1) offer per eligible personal member, even if the eligible personal membership is opened jointly, in which case, only the primary owner will qualify for the offer.

d) As this promotional offer is available only for new members as defined above, (that is, members who, until opening the Unlimited Chequing account, had not been members within the preceding 18 months). Members with existing personal memberships as of September 3, 2024 aren’t eligible for this offer even if they upgrade their existing account package.

e) If you were an existing member during this offer period but closed your membership and opened a new eligible personal membership, you are not eligible for the promotional offer.

f) This promotional offer and these terms do not, in any way, affect the service fees related to the operation of any of our personal memberships, card products or credit services.

g) Affinity Credit Union employees and immediate family members of employees are not eligible for the offer.

h) Affinity Credit Union reserves the right to revoke the offer or terminate the agreement for any customer who appears to be manipulating or abusing the offer or appears to be engaged in any suspicious/fraudulent activity.
