Each option has benefits that serve different purposes, but they’re all aimed at making your retirement years the very best they can be!

Flex-Term RRIF

  • 1-year investment term
  • You can withdraw* or transfer your money to a different term within your registered income fund with no penalty after 30 days.
  • Get started with as little as $500.
  • Interest is calculated on a per annum basis and paid annually (where applicable) or compounded annually and paid at maturity.

Fixed-Term RRIF

  • 1 to 5-year investment terms
  • Your money needs to stay invested for the full term.
  • Interest is calculated on a per annum basis and paid annually (where applicable) or compounded annually and paid at maturity.

Escalator RRIF

  • 3 or 5-year investment terms
  • You can withdraw* or transfer your money to a different term within your RRIF on the anniversary date each year.
  • Your interest rate increases each year.
  • Interest is calculated on a per annum basis and paid annually (where applicable) or compounded annually and paid at maturity.

Variable RRIF Savings

  • Since you’re not locked into a term, you can take a lump-sum payment or transfer your money to another term within your RRIF at any time, without penalty.
  • Interest is calculated daily and paid each month.
