About the Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program

If you’re in Grade 11, looking forward to your post-secondary education and seeking ways to develop your leadership skills, then this is a great opportunity for you!

We’re excited to offer the Elwood Harvey Co-operative Leadership Program, a unique and rewarding opportunity for you to learn about money, leadership, co-operatives and a whole lot more. This program is designed for young Affinity Credit Union members like you, who aspire to make a big difference in their community and the $2,500 to fund your education won’t hurt a bit.

We created this scholarship dedicated to the late Elwood Harvey, to honour his significant contribution to the credit union and co-operative movement. You can learn more about his legacy here.

Twenty-one lucky students get accepted into this program every year and we work with them throughout Grade 12. If you're selected, here's what you can expect:

  • Gain real life experience and find out what it means to be part of a co-operative organization.
  • Work closely with our member representatives and attend member council meetings.
  • Learn valuable leadership and networking skills.
