Impact of a postal disruption

by Lianne Herman | Nov 15, 2024

With Canada Post strike action underway, mail delays are possible and it could affect your products and services at Affinity. Please read on to see how you can prepare.

Statements

To avoid any disruption, we recommend signing up to receive your statement electronically.

It’s super easy to sign up. Once you’ve logged in to online banking through affinitycu.ca, select ‘Statements’ from the menu on the left side of the screen. You’ll land on a page with a link to sign up for eStatements. Click on that link and follow the directions – once you provide an email address, you’ll be all set.

MEMBER CARD® debit cards and cheque order delivery delays

In the event that Canada Post goes on strike, new or replacement cards and cheque orders may be delayed. Should that occur, don’t worry – you have options! Visit your local Affinity advice centre and we’re happy to help you out.

Credit cards and statements

As a bonus, right now when you sign up for eStatements for your Affinity credit card, you’ll get $10 added to your Affinity Rewards account! Sign up by logging into your Personal Credit Card Portal, choose Email Notifications under My Account and toggle on Electronic Statement.

New and replacement credit cards may be delayed.

Your responsibility
It’s important to note that in the event of a postal disruption, you’re still responsible to make any required payments you may have to ensure your account remains in good standing.
